Octubre es el mes morado, el mes en el que el Cristo moreno sale crucificado a las calles seguido por una multitud morada y descalza pidiendo milagros. Soy católica de bautizo pero no por convicción, sin embargo este ritual siempre me pareció impresionante y en algunos momentos, conmovedor.

October is the purple month. It is the month when the crucified black Christ goes out to the streets followed by a purple and barefoot crowd asking and begging for miracles. I was baptized catholic but religion is not part of me, however this ritual always seemed impressive and in some moments heartwarming.
