Las cabezas en los cuadernos de Andrea

Después de algunos fallidos intentos de juntarnos, por fin lo logramos. Así que volviendo a esta sección, tenemos una pizca del mundo de Andrea. 

Empezó con los cuadernos por una inclinación a ellos como objetos que tenían valor material por lo lindos que podían llegar a ser. Esto quedó chico y así comenzó a darle un valor más personal a medida que los llenaba con sus seres. 

Sus cuadernos no están organizados por fechas, ya que su intención y acción depende del formato, por eso no se preocupa en terminarlos, sino en continuarlos. Por esta razón en un sólo cuaderno puede encontrar diversas etapas de su vida y comparar su evolución personal y como ilustradora. 

Una de las cosas que salió mientras hablábamos y me encantó, es que para ella el cuaderno es un gran compañero, es como una nueva etapa y nuevas cosas. Aún así no es algo imprescindible, por eso ha botado un montón de cuadernos en su vida, porque representaban una etapa superada que ya no tenía sentido guardar. 

Lo que hace en sus cuadernos son solo para ella, es más celosa con sus dibujos que con sus fotos, porque estas han sido concebidas para comunicar algo a alguien más, mientras que los primeros son para ella. Felizmente esa idea está cambiando poco a poco (uffff) y por eso ahora podemos verlos. 

Cosillas sobre Andre

Andre es, para mi, una artista. Aunque es fotógrafa de profesión, no sólo se dedica a eso. Es dibujante, realizadora audiovisual, diseñadora, etc.  Desde que la conocí todo lo que veo de ella es diferente y con una carga simbólica increíble. Es una coleccionista de cachibaches acérrima (quizá por eso nos queremos tanto) entre sus colecciones encontramos fotos antiguas, números y cabezas.

Es una de las creadoras de la marca de ropa Tecnopan y acá les dejo un blog que compila algunos de sus trabajos fotográficos (creo que no está actualizada).

After several failed attempts to get together , finally we made it! So back to this section, today we have a piece of Andrea's world.

Her fixation with notebooks started with her love for their individual designs and details, it was mainly a material value. This changed as she grew older and because the became a more personal statement when she started filling their pages with her little creatures.

Andrea's notebooks are not organized by date, because her intention and action to act on them, depends on the format. She doesn't bother to finish them, but she does care to continue them. For this reason in one notebook you can find various stages of her life and compare her evolution as a person and as an illustrator.

One of the things that came out while we were talking, and that I loved, was that notebooks are great partners, they can represent a new stage and new things in life. However it is not a must to keep them forever and this is why she has gotten rib of many notebooks, because they represented an outdated stage in her life that didn't make sense to keep.

What she does in her notebooks are just for her, she is jealous of her drawings, but with her photos its a different story because they are designed to communicate something to someone else, while her drawings are more for her. Fortunately that feeling is slowly changing (thank god!) and thats why, now, we can see them.

Things about Andre

Andre is, for me, an artist. She is a photographer by profession, but also a drawer, audiovisual director, designer, etc. Since I met her, all I see in her art is different and a has an amazing symbolic weight. She is a tireless collector of things (maybe that's why we love each other so much) and in her collections you will, mainly, find old pictures, numbers and heads.

She is one of the creators of clothing brand Tecnopan and here I leave you a blog that compiles some of her photographic work (I think it is outdated ).
